Add a new mailbox

  1. Log into system administration
    1. Press the Feature button feature, then 983.
    2. The display will read LOG. Enter your login password.
      • If your company extensions are 2 digits long enter "120000"
      • If your company extensions are 3 digits long enter "1020000"
      • If your company extensions are 4 digits long enter "10020000"
       
  2. Select OK.
  3. Select MBOX.
  4. Select ADD.
  5. Enter the mailbox number (extension you want to add).
  6. The display will read MBOX TYPE: SUBSCRIBER.  Select OK.
  7. The display will then read EXTENSION:  Again enter the extension you want to add.
  8. The display will then read SERVICE CLASS:  Enter 1
  9. The display will then read NAME:  Enter the name using the dial pad.  Enter last name first, press "# #" to enter a comma, and then enter the first name.  When spelling the name press # to move to the next character.
  10. The display will read DIRECTORY: Y.  Select OK.
  11. The display will then read MESSAGE WAITING: Y.  Select OK.
  12. The display will then read OUT DIAL: POOL.  Enter 1 and then select OK.
  13. The display will then read ACCEPT: Select OK.

To initialize the mailbox you just added:  (a mailbox must be initialized before it can accept messages)

  1. Press Feature , 98
  2. Enter the default password (0000).
  3. Select OK.
  4. Enter your new password (must be four to eight digits long and can not start with a zero).
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select YES.
  7. At the sound of the tone, record your name.
  8. Select OK to end the recording.  (Note:  Select PLAY to hear your recording.  Select RETRY to redo your recording).
  9. To accept the recording select OK.
  10. To end the session press the release key.
